The processing technology of colored stainless steel plate is divided into polishing grinding, brushing, color coating, pattern, and shape four categories.

First, Polishing and grinding

1)Polishing wheel grinding

The raw materials for processing are mainly 2D materials. A cylindrical polishing wheel made of overlapping polka and cotton cloth is rotated at high speed. While supplying abrasive to the surface of the polishing wheel, it is polished at the same time, making the surface more shiny.

2)Base grinding

When grinding NO.1 materials and thick plates, to remove surface defects, base grinding is usually performed. Base grinding is manual grinding or heavy grinding. The impact of this technology on the quality and cost of the final grinding often is significant.

3)Mirror Surface

The quality of mirrors can be mainly divided into two types:

One is that the raw material is mirror-finished only through the grinding process. The other is to use a grinding wheel to first remove the tiny defects on the surface of the raw material and then polishing the mirror surface, and coloring processing. After processing, the surface of the mirror surface is clean and beautiful, which is most suitable for use in places such as building entrances and interior decoration.

4)Vibration processing:

The polishing method in which random movements of alternating rotation and movement are given under a polishing head of a non-woven fabric containing grit. Raw materials: 2B and BA materials, often used in interior and exterior decoration of buildings and elevator doors, etc.

Secondly, Brushed.

1)Hairline Processing

Generally, base treatment and polishing are performed before HL processing. 80-180 abrasives are often used to produce different surfaces. The vacuum ion plating coloring process is used to make the surface more beautiful.

2)Hairline, snowflake sand, ordinary sand

These three kinds of stainless steel have different names mainly because of the different sand patterns on the surface. The texture of hairline stainless steel is the thickest and longest. Ordinary sand followed by. The texture of snowflake sand is the finest and smallest among these sand textures.

The main reason for this is that their processing machines are different, but at present there is also a need for mixed sand on the surface. For example, to grind ordinary sand first and then to do wire drawing, It should be noted that stainless steel coils can also be processed in this way.

3)Vibration

After the colored stainless steel plate undergoes this kind of processing operation, the surface of the stainless steel plate can show circles of sand grains from a distance view, but from a close view, it is some irregular chaotic grains.

Third, surface coating

1) Titanium plating process

At present , mainly use vacuum titanium plating to make the surface of stainless steel plate to have a certain color. The more common colors are rose gold, sapphire blue, black titanium, etc.

The machine needed for titanium plating on stainless steel plates is a titanium furnace, and its scientific name is also called a PVD vacuum coating machine.

When coloring stainless steel plates, the above-mentioned colors can be processed in the early stage. However, the pattern of the chequered stainless steel plate must be polished to an 8k effect with the 8k machine and then it can be colored after that process. But for embossed stainless steel plate is quite different. It can be stamped a pattern before being colored or can be colored before being embossed. However, in order to reduce costs, factories usually color before embossing.

2)Titanium removal:

There are also some people who will call the titanium-removed plate a colored stainless steel plate. As the name titanium removed suggests, the stainless steel plate need to titanium plating at first , and then fade the color at a designated location to achieve a specific pattern or shape.

3)No fingerprints

Colored stainless steel plates will also undergo a technology called fingerprint-free or anti-fingerprint treatment. The principle is to attach a layer of oil to the surface of the colored stainless steel plates and dry them to achieve anti-fingerprint and anti-oxidation effects.
